Shaochen "Steven" Xu is a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at the University of Georgia, where he has been a Graduate Research Assistant and PhD Student since 2022. His research focuses on large language models and Al agents applied to humanities, education, and pharmacy. Steven's work explores how frontier Al can serve underrepresented domains, including low-resource languages, philosophy, arts, and literature understanding. He is passionate about building Al systems that are accessible, meaningful, and impactful for human knowledge and society.
